Returns and refunds

RETURNS, REFUNDS & COMMISSION POLICY


A D Art Studio specialises in unique, large-scale architectural artworks and hand-finished limited editions. Due to the bespoke, high-value, and often custom-commissioned nature of our pieces, our policy is designed to ensure clarity and protect both the artist and the collector.


1. Original Artworks & Commissioned Pieces:

  • No Returns/Refunds: All sales of original artworks and bespoke commissioned pieces are considered final. This includes all industrial ACM reliefs and hand-finished canvas editions.

  • Why: These works are often created to specific site dimensions, use unique reactive patinas that cannot be replicated, and are shipped via specialist fine art handlers. Once dispatched, they cannot be returned or refunded.

  • Damage in Transit: Please refer to our Shipping & Delivery Policy regarding immediate notification and insurance claims for any damage incurred during transit.



2. Limited Edition Prints (Gallery Framed):

  • Inspection Required: Upon receipt, please inspect your framed print immediately. If there is any damage to the artwork or frame, you must notify the studio within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.

  • No Returns for Change of Mind: Due to the custom framing and printing process, we do not accept returns for change of mind on framed prints.

  • Defects: If the print is found to have a manufacturing defect (e.g., print flaw, frame damage not caused by transit), we will arrange for a repair or replacement at our discretion.



3. Bespoke Commissions:

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to commence any bespoke commission. This deposit covers material costs and studio time.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due prior to dispatch.

  • No Returns: Commissioned works are created to your specifications and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable. We maintain close communication throughout the creation process to ensure satisfaction.



4. Studio Consultation & Approval:

  • We encourage all clients, especially those commissioning bespoke pieces, to engage in a thorough consultation process. This includes reviewing material samples, discussing scale, and approving concept sketches where applicable.

  • By proceeding with a purchase or commission, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.



5. Exceptions:

  • Any exceptions to this policy will be made at the sole discretion of A D Art Studio and must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
